Keith Goyette

History & Roles

Major Goyette began working as a police officer with the Town of Ayden in 2000 and later joined the Kinston Police Department in January of 2001.  Major Goyette has advanced his way through the ranks working in numerous divisions within the agency.  He currently serves as Major of the Support Services Division.

  • Patrol Officer
  • Crime Scene Investigator
  • Criminal Investigator
  • Field Training Officer
  • Special Response Unit
  • Dive & Swift Water Rescue Team
  • General Instructor

Education

Major Goyette is a 2009 graduate of the University of Mount Olive and holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Administration.  Major Goyette also graduated from Tiffin University in 2011 with a Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Major Goyette is also a graduate of the 74th AOMP Session at North Carolina State University and a recipient of the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award.
